For a custom fit or a style-specific adjustment, confirm the final measurements with us before production; your agreed order specifications take priority.
Body chest / bust: the full circumference around your body.
Jacket chest / waist: full garment circumferences, not flat widths.
Sleeves: jacket shoulder seam to cuff. Shoulders: seam to seam across the jacket’s back.

Allow room for fit and layers. Jacket chest measurements are larger than body chest/bust measurements. The difference varies across the chart; it is not a fixed allowance to add to every measurement. Confirm your preferred slim, regular or relaxed fit and intended layers with us.
Between sizes, outside these ranges, or choosing a particularly fitted or oversized style? Send your measurements rather than guessing a label. Jacket/back length is style-specific and must be confirmed separately. Standard size availability and final dimensions should be agreed for your particular design.
How to take body measurements
Use a flexible tape, stand naturally and keep the tape level without pulling it tight. Have another person help where possible. Tell us whether you measured over a light shirt or the layers you plan to wear.
- Chest or bust: measure all the way around the fullest part, with your arms relaxed.
- Waist: measure around your natural waist. For a jacket that ends lower, also tell us the circumference where you want the hem to sit.
- Hips: measure around the fullest part when the garment will extend over the hips.
- Shoulder, sleeve and preferred length: agree the measuring points with us. A sleeve taken from the centre back of the neck is not the same as a sleeve measured from the shoulder seam.
Body circumference and flat jacket width are different. Do not enter a pit-to-pit jacket width as a full chest circumference. Do not add an assumed allowance to every body measurement; tell us the intended fit and layers so the garment specification can be agreed.
Match the fit of your favourite jacket
Choose a jacket that fits the way you want the new one to fit. Fasten it and lay it flat without stretching it. Send photographs showing the tape position, together with the measurements and units.

| C. Sleeve length | Measure from the shoulder seam along the outside of the sleeve to the cuff. State whether the cuff is included. |
| D. Back length | Measure from where the collar joins the centre back down to the hem, excluding the collar itself. |
| Hem width and fit notes | Measure straight across the bottom when fastened. Mention anything you want changed from the reference jacket. |
| Jacket waist circumference | Measure the fastened jacket flat across its waist at the agreed measuring point, then double that width to report the full circumference. Do not substitute your body waist measurement. Send a photograph of the tape position. |
Example of clear notation: “Flat pit-to-pit width: 54 cm; shoulder seam to cuff: 63 cm; centre-back length excluding collar: 65 cm.” These example measurements show how to label your notes; use the size charts above and your agreed specifications for the actual order.
Confirm the fit before production
- Use either centimetres or inches throughout and state the unit.
- Identify body measurements and finished-garment measurements separately.
- Tell us your preferred slim, regular, relaxed or oversized fit and intended layers.
- For vests, omit sleeve measurements but confirm armhole comfort and preferred length.
- For bulk orders, agree a style-specific measurement sheet and size grading including any agreed changes from these standard production charts.

Standard custom jackets, vests and bespoke items take 7 to 10 working days to manufacture; confirm the schedule for your design and allow separately for delivery. For collection development, consider a sample review before approving further production.
